Barbara Louann Holcombe, known affectionately to friends and family as Ms LouLou, Nana, Nan, Mom, left a legacy of love and kindness until her passing on August 2nd, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on July 1st, 1959, in Lithonia, Georgia. She is leaving behind a world significantly brighter because of her presence. Louann's life was a tapestry of deep family bonds and enduring friendships. She was the heart of her family, a cornerstone of craziness and love.

Louann was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sarah Carter, and siblings Kenneth "Bull" Carter, Joey Carter, and Kay Byrd. She carried forward the family's warm spirit. Her zest for life is carried on by her devoted family; her brother, Chris (Donna) Carter; her loving children, Erica (Scott) Dooley and Jennifer Holcombe; and her vibrant grandchildren & great grandchildren Tyler (Taylor) Dooley, Seth Shelnutt, Madi Dooley, Trevor Dooley, Kolton West Dooley, Triston Holcombe, Nicole Dooley, and Elijah Dooley, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Professionally, Louann dedicated over 20 years of service to Lowe's Home Improvement, where she was a friend and confidante to many. She enjoyed traveling, cruising with her family, and shopping. She will be leaving an unforgettable mark on all she encountered. She was a wonderful mother, nana, friend, and coworker. Louann's passing is not only a loss but a celebration of a life truly well-lived.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Trinity Praise Center on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm.

The service will be followed by food and fellowship.
