It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jamie" Robert Hunter of Conyers, Georgia, on December 8, 2024.

He was taken from us too soon at the age of only 48.

Jamie was a wonderful person with a kind heart. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 27, 1976. He worked for most of his life at the Yellow River Game Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary in Lilburn, Ga., and at the time of his passing, was employed by Texaco in Covington, Ga.

Jamie was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Alexander, brothers, Ryan Dawson Hunter and Jason West, and beloved step-grandfather, James Robert Moon. He is survived by his father, Jeffrey Hunter, sisters, Melissa Hunter and Angie West, brother, Chris West, grandmother, Martha Moon, grandfather, Billy G. Alexander, Sr., aunts, Billie Holmes and Caroline Hamilton, uncles, Richard K. Hunter, Tim Alexander and Billy G. Alexander, Jr., many cousins, and of the home, nephews, Andre Cannon and Blaine Hatfield, and great nephew, Bryson Cannon.

Jamie will be missed by his loving family and all that knew him.
