On December 24th, 2024, Robert Wayne Redwine of Loganville, GA passed away at the age of 70 after a hard-fought battle against lung cancer. Leaving behind a loving wife Peggy, two sons Andrew and Joseph, grandson Jobe two brothers Steve and Carlton, and many more. His physical presence will be dearly missed, but the wisdom he passed on and moments he was a part of will be remembered and cherished moving forward.

A major reason why was because of his love of photography that he gained back in the 1960s. From darkroom facilities to instant film (and eventually digital) cameras, Bob enjoyed capturing images of anything and everything. Be it for fun or as a way to earn a living.

However, a year after graduating Morrow High School in 1972, Bob decided to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Even though he primarily served as a Traffic Analyst for the HHC 502nd ASA Group during his time with them, Bob's skills as a civilian photographer were also needed "during a period of reorganization which constantly placed demands on his expertise." According to a report within his military records.

But during his time in the service, Bob gained an affinity for another hobby: flying. Before being discharged, he did everything he could to get into an aviation training program. But it would have to be put on hold until after his time in the military came to an end in 1976.

Once he was back home and working a regular job, he joined the Civil Air Patrol and got his Ultralight Pilot's License so he could soar to new heights in more ways than one. But in between flights with his older brother Steve by his side, he did what he could to earn a living and start a family of his own.

While his photography skills continued to help him pay the bills for some time, he eventually moved into the audio and video industry. He worked for various companies for over 30 years. From the creation of content to equipment installation, Bob's skills were highly valued by the vast majority of his coworkers and employers. Including his last job outside of the field, as an airport shuttle driver for Groome Transportation.
