Aubrey "Butch" Cole

Aubrey Alton Cole III (Butch) of Conyers, Georgia, died Saturday, June 21st, 2025 after a long health battle. He was a loving son and brother, a devoted husband and a proud father and grandfather. As big-hearted as he was determined, he relished time with his family. He even earned the nickname "Billmar Allen" from his sister as a child, acting as the student in her "classroom" because he loved entertaining his family- something he carried on with his children and grandchildren.

Born in Decatur, Georgia on February 25th, 1957, he is the son of Rama (Terry) and the late Aubrey Alton Cole, Jr. He graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School and married Donna McKinney on December 15th, 1979. Butch was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he proudly served his country. 

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Cole Jr.; his brother Richard (Mike) Cole and his sister Debra Lyn Morris. 

He is survived by his mother, Rama (Terry) Cole; his loving wife, Donna Cole; and his children: Raymond Cole, Courtney Graham and son-in-law Cowon Graham, and Candace Cole. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mikayla Harms and Raygan Cole, mother-in-law Charlie Mae McKinney, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Michael and Dianne Koutras, brother-in-law Gary Morris, numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Per his wishes, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date in lieu of a formal burial.
