Barbara Dobbs Obituary

Barbara Jean Dobbs, age 81, of Covington, Georgia passed away on January 12th, 2021. She was born to the late Roy & Mabel Ferguson in Cedartown Ga. Married in 1957 to Thomas Dobbs, they remained happily in love for 63 years. She is survived by her husband Tom and her sister Frances McMillian. Jean was preceded in death by her other sister Dean Yopp. Jean is also survived by her 3 daughters Vickie Moore, Michelle Welliver & Melissa Scott. She was blessed with three grandchildren Tom Bennett, Elise Byers & Ashley Howell. She was double blessed with six great grandchildren. Jean had a great love of gardening with roses being her favorite. She loved spending time every year at Tybee Island Beach GA with her girl group. She was a 29 year member of TOPS and was crowned Queen of Georgia 2017. These members became her life long friends. Jean was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. She will never be forgotten and she will be loved by many forever.
