Barbara Wisby

Barbara T. Wisby, 80, of Covington, GA, died on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital. She was born in Malverne, NY on April 5, 1942. She graduated from Malverne High School in 1960 and then attended business school on Long Island for one year. She later worked for law offices in Keene, NH and Rochester, NY. She also attended Columbia Bible College. In 1968 she moved to Boca Raton, FL where she became Church secretary for two years. She also led the junior high youth group there. She had a passion for kids and seeing them grow in their faith in Christ. From 1970-1979 she worked Frekote, an international company in Boca Raton.

In March 1975 she married her husband, Terrance A. Wisby. The two had just celebrated their 47th anniversary. She leaves behind their son Donald W. Wisby and his wife Susan of Covington; grandson Soren A. Wisby of Colbert, Ga; Brother-in-law Richard D. Wisby and wife Mary Elizabeth of Gainesville, FL; Sister-in-law Donna E. Mansard and husband Roger of Peyton, CO. She also leaves behind niece Laura Bernhofen and husband Daniel of Washington DC; Niece Diane Broberg and husband Mike of St. Louis, MO; Nephew Dennis Kenyon and wife Patty of Wilmington, NC; Nephew Steve Trasher and wife Kate of Colleyville, TX; Nephew James Trasher and wife Amy Marie of Baldwinsville, NY; also, grandnieces and nephews and many cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Crosspoint Christian Church in Conyers, GA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and be followed by the main service at 11:00. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Crosspoint Christian Church, the Refuge and Serenity House.
