James “Jim” Benjamin Lynch, 86, of Monroe, GA passed away on December 7, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. James was the son of the late Jesse Lee Lynch and Grace Terry Lynch.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six sisters, Ruby Proctor, Margaret Lynch, Christine Carter, Artie Lewis, Leila Threlkeld and Linda Bradberry; a granddaughter Meagan Maki, and a grandson David Sherwood.
James is survived by his wife of 67 years, Eleanor Evans Lynch; his daughters, Cynthia Warwick of Social Circle, GA; Kerry Sherwood (Danny) of Conyers, GA and son, Jonathan Lynch of Monroe, GA; seven grandchildren Heather Warwick, Malisa Ainsworth, Stephanie Rucker, Tanya Gillgren (Geoff), Andrew Sherwood (Alexis), Kaitlyn Smith(John) and Alison Warwick; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother Henry Lynch (Tabitha) and sister Betty Campbell.
Services entrusted to Cremation Services of Atlanta and M.A. Boston Mortuary.
