Margaret Holt Brown

Margaret Brown, 86, departed this life peacefully on March 9, 2021, in Decatur, Ga. Margaret was born February18, 1935. She was preceded in death by her parents Bazil and Mamie Holt, husband Nathaniel A. Brown and daughter Fraun Brown-Hinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Nicole Brown-Anderson and Ron A. Brown of Lithonia Ga.; Grandchildren Morgan Anderson of Atlanta Ga, Malcolm Anderson of Tampa Fl, Jeramicca Boone of Atlanta, Ga Sonya Hinson of Houston, TX, Rodney Hinson of Atlanta, GA. and Jeremy Fuller of Greensboro, NC. Great grandchildren Kayla Hopkins of Greensboro NC, Ja’mya Fuller and Aaliyah Fuller of Greensboro NC. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Margaret was educated in the Guilford County school system, graduating from James B. Dudley High School in the class of 1952.  She married the late Nathaniel Brown on March 15,1954 and resided in Greensboro N.C until 2013. Margaret was devoted and serve faithfully as a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Serving on various committees and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Margaret retired from Cone Mills /Olympic Products in Pleasant Garden, in 2013, Margaret relocated to Atlanta, Ga to be closer to her daughter and son. 

Margaret loved spending quality time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Everyone who knew her, knew that she loved to cook, bake and play bingo. A good meal was her way to your soul.

She genuinely believed that family is where life began and a Love that never ends. Her Love will always be our strength and the bond that continues to hold our family together forever.

Margaret touched the hearts of many with her caring and loving spirit. She will always be a treasure in our lives and a source of our precious everlasting memories.

Because God loved her first, he has the final say…The doors of Heaven have opened and her work here on Earth is done.

Go reunite with others that came before you and rest in eternal peace! Spread your wings and Fly high!

She will be greatly missed not only by family but by friends as well. Until we meet again….
