Sister Marian Bell Jones
Marian Bell Anthony was born May 23, 1944. She was the oldest of three children born to Fred Anthony and his wife Marie Rebecca Davis Parish. The family had their start on Parson St, University Homes, Atlanta, Georgia. They later moved to Harrison Place famously known as "Buttermilk Bottom", where she graduated from Booker T Washington High School in 1962.
There Marian met and then married her high school sweetheart Grady Jones. After his returned from military service, they purchased a home in Decatur, Georgia where they lived for most of their children tender years.
Marian came to know of Jehovah in the late 60s by way of her mother, sister Marie Anthony, in the early 2000s she dedicated her life to Jehovah by water baptism. Her pace in life slowed due to declining health however she was able to attend her last meeting via zoom which she stated "I enjoyed it and it brought back memories".
Marian the devoted wife, mother and servant was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest brother Leon Anthony. She leave behind her loving children, son Gregory Jones (Betty) and daughters Donna Bryant and Denece Jones; grandchildren Kimberly Bowden, Tiffany Thomas, Devonne Jones, Nicholas Jones, and Julius Bryant; great grandchildren Nevaeh Bryant, Zaire Lewis, Maya Kendrick, Tamia Thomas, Gabriel Parson and Andrea Mills; brother Earl Jerome Anthony; sister-in-law Dorothy Roberts; nephews and nieces Ronnie, Douglas and Jesse James, Aquino and Antwan Anthony, Keisha Roberts, Deon Anthony and a host of other family members and friends, Her presence will be greatly missed.
