Patricia Nessell

Patricia Ruth Nessell ( Jackson) passed away October 8th, 2023.   She was 84 years old.  She was born in Anderson Indiana on August 11, 1939,   She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby V Etchison, her  father Cecil W. Jackson.  Patty grew up in Anderson Indiana and attended Ball State University, on full academic scholarship, where she received her BS, RN degree.  She married Fred Nessell Jr in 1961, left Indiana and moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. She and Fred had two children.   After moving to West Palm she worked as a nurse at St Mary's Hospital.  She retired from the State of Florida, at 58 years old after a long and rewarding career.  In their retirement, she and Fred moved to Gulf Shores, Alabama.  Patty was quick with a smile and always put everyone else's needs and comfort above her own.  She was never judgemental and accepted and loved everyone she met.  Patty was a "one of a kind person" and she will be terribly missed by all of those she leaves behind. She is survived and loved by her  children, Carol Nessell Littlejohn and Phyllis Nessell Denton, and son-in-law David S. Denton.  Her  grandchildren, Christopher M. Littlejohn, Taylor R. Ratcliffe (Carl), Victoria D. Moscova (Carmel), and Dalton S. Denton. She also leaves behind one  great-grandchild (Isabelle), her sister Rosemary Kellum and brother-in-law Marion Kellum; her brother Melvin A. Jackson  and sister-in-law Vivian Jackson, as well as many nieces and nephews.  She will eventually be laid to rest in Hartford City Cemetery next to her husband.
